Broken hearts and Bloody wrists
Ribbons in her hair and scars beneath her sleeves
Her soul is slowly dying as tormentors turn to thieves
The mask on her face doesn't cover her eyes
So she can't cover her sorrow with her lies
She's so beautiful
It's breathtaking
She's so sorrowful
It's heartbreaking
Trace your veins with this blade,
Still the fiery flames of hate
Your pleasures pain, a steel caress,
You hide your hurt, shield your distress
She's so beautiful

She's so sorrowful
It's heartbreaking
When comes the time for pain to end?

Seas Left Unswum
What closet poets are we,
who in moments more sober of thought show a stony face,
but lying alone at night hearing the rain's mourning fancy ourselves martyrs for love,
and epic heroes of romance.
"My lady!
Leander am I, and would take the strait in stroke to be with you!
Orpheus am I, and would venture into Hades to bring you back!"
But count us amateur Leanders as unlikely to swim the sea as the sea is to dry for us.
And perhaps this is best-

This feeling so frightening
It feels like a fire
This burning desire
You say that you love me, but I love you more
No one in the world's ever felt this before

An entry (this time, it's a Senryu) for the Haiku Club 2015 January Renga Tree.
2015 January Renga Tree: 153!It is a Japanese custom to write with a writing brush on the second day of the new year. Join the Haiku Club as we celebrate this custom with a Renga Tree. A Renga Tree is an open form of renga in which anyone may post a response to any previously posted response. The result is a branching "tree" of poems beginning with a single "seed".
Here is a Renga Tree stamp to include in your journal or deviation comments.

If anyone wishes to enter with a haiku or senryu in response to my entry, please feel free to do so, and follow how to post your author's comments (like I have done) by perusing the journal announcing the renga tree is open for entries. (top thumbnail above)
We welcome you to join in on the tree, and/or follow the progress of the renga tree on the event journal and check out the other entries in the event gallery.
