The morning is a tapestry... tripping over last night's grace, I watch you weave your skin and shake out your hair - soft teal and jonquil shadowing your cheek as the curtains part between your hands. This lovely suicide - the hiss of smoke dangling between your fingers and the loss of breath that claimed your sleep. Your limbs - somnolent, wrapped against the autumn chill fingers draped with paper angels as someone you never knew tucked a lily behind your dreams. 'nothing' is a raptor

*** Listen to me read this piece: When I tell you "it's nothing" you usually hear: the clouds are dark and rough like elephant skin and I'm caught up in the folds of an ear, tangled and desperate for relief but unsure how to flip myself an escape. You usually hear: the world is still turning on its axis and I am left breathless, breaking.... broken in more ways than I can count on my hands, broken in more ways than I can put a name to, broken in more ways than I can ever explain. i came up with this idea of blending the poetic style of haiku with the artistic and fetish style of Japanese rope bondage = shibari.

the six haiku are linked as a renga, each piece related to one another.

i hope you as the reader will enjoy the uniqueness of first hand experience in rope fetish, with my growing 'voice' in the beautiful nature that i use to compare one art form to the other.
