A banquet of empty plates,
the bayou pageantry under a muslin sky
is lulled towards the lush patina of time
who's slow echo mutes the fiasco of its
wing'ed seascape that lies edge-on between us,
but is already absorbed as its distorted
reflections are fixed on a brooding horizon,
never to set course or be charted.
