Seeking a parallel in quietus
from the smoking fields of nebulae
where I could see all there is,

while reality floats,
its distance doubling with the
passing of each second.

To discover there are no grasslands,
there never was a serenity
and how lonely I am for that.

Only the tundra of planets
with equators untouched
by their inner engines

in an existence unchanged through
the fish-eye lens of light years,
with tilted skull caps lined up like dominos.

Heart EDIT 2: This is going to include works which are "parental advisory due to mature content". (shrug) just saying.
For those of you who don't know:

Heart EDIT 3: This journal, is a must read:

it is so true I swear.

To those who've been passing by my profile, you might've noticed a custom box with all my favourites in it. Well, its for good reason:
I've been meaning to clean up my favourites and put them in collections, just to sort them out. So far, with luck, I've been managing to do so and my effort's paid off... but having said that, I've revisited my roots and found myself going through all those old works which helped me understand... why I joined dA in the first place... They were some of th

I love this poem. Honestly I do!

What I love most about this poem is that... vicarious indifference portrayed in the sadness of stanza three and four. Its as if the person doesn't belong here at all... as if their alien, and because of this alien presence they are only going to inevitably bleach upon what makes this world so worthwhile...

A light shining out upon empty space, where everything is as completely overwhelmed in a vacuum, as it is complete absolution and freedom put in such... a state as space (with repeated ripplings of history).

A beautiful poem... a very beautiful poem worth reading, and worth contemplating over. Bravo!

That introduction is probably one of my favourites of yours. "the fish-eye lens of light years" is beautifully alliterated as well.

There is excellent alignment between the visual elements and the metaphysical lament.  One of your better poems.
