When time was young
and fish were wise,
a little boy would
guard the boats

his people used to
go out in to gather food,
while their gods watched
over them from skies

which used to lie closer
to the water and the earth-
for this was the place
where the wind came to rest

and the sea would caress
the edge of the world,
and blessed those who
trusted in the rhythm of

life from birth, until the
cycle of death would
come and set them free-
to watch over

a little boy who
guarded the boats,
when time was young
and fish were wise.

Thank you, Bernie!

Your work is so moving, i can't help but be inspired... by both the images, and the man who immortalizes those images.

...and then the words seemed to fly off the page and weave themselves into a beautiful picture...

Behold. the powers of the mighty Beatnik :meditate:
Thank you very much... that's what i wanted to achieve... a sense of the cycle of everything.

I loved the end of this poem, how it all comes in a full circle. I also liked the style, almost like a lullaby...
